Invitation

We cordially invite you to attend the 10th Engineering Mathematics and Applications Conference in 2011 at the University of Technology Sydney from 4th - 7th December 2011. The venue is within walking distance of Darling Harbour and a short bus trip, or scenic ferry ride, from many of Sydney’s other icons such as the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, and Circular Quay. A highlight will be the conference dinner to be held during a cruise on beautiful Sydney Harbour. There is also a Welcome Reception on the Sunday evening, and an Informal Restaurant Evening.
 
EMAC2011 is organised by the Engineering Mathematics Group, a special interest group with the Australian and New Zealand Industrial & Applied Mathematics Division of the Australian Mathematical Society.

Conference topics range broadly over engineering mathematics, statistics & OR and applications, including engineering mathematics education. Full papers are submitted after the conference for full peer review and publication in a special part of the Electronic Supplement of the ANZIAM Journal. The deadline for submission of papers is January 9, 2012. Guidelines for articles submitted for publication in the conference proceedings.

CSIRO-ANZIAM Student Support Scheme

Students who are members of ANZIAM are eligible to apply for funding to support their attendance at EMAC through the CSIRO/ANZIAM student support scheme.

The deadline for applying for funding is 28th October.

Post-graduate students are especially encouraged to participate, and there is a prize for the best research paper presented by a student.
